After 5 years of working at TV Gelderland as a producer, coordinator S-TV, floor manager, director and item journalist of all kind of different TV programs, I, Martine Grol, founded MADE BY MEDIA in 2010.
Together with an enthusiastic, motivated and knowledgeable team of TV professionals I produce (company)films with just the right amount of ingredients and of which both the client and ourselves can be proud. Good communication is the foundation of a good video. We ask all the ‘ins and outs’, this way we can create a wonderful product which is exactly as you desire it to be. You will be getting regular updates on the progress of your production and we’ll be having frequent contact about the steps we’re taking while making it. We love to face on any challenge given to us.
2. Quality & swiftness
The fact we want to create the very best for you is needless to say. Meeting deadlines is something a lot of companies don’t seem to do. For us it’s very important we meet the deadlines agreed upon. This has a very high priority because what’s the use of a wonderful film which isn’t finished on time.
What we do, we do with joy. The people I work with are, in most cases, people I’ve been working with for years. This creates some kind of bond between colleagues which is often seen and spoken out by our clients: “It’s nice working with you, the atmosphere is good and you work hard and professional.”
Our experienced crew consists out of people who can adapt to all kind of different situations domestically and abroad. Travelling won’t be an issue, we are used to it.
I consider myself a generalist which, as a producer, comes in very handy. For every branche and assignment I work with the right kind of specialist coming from the TV- and/or filmbranche. From animator to editor, cameraman to lighting- and sound technician. Every person I work with is an expert in one specific field.
We keep track of all the latest developments. For a while now we’ve been making 2D and 3D animation which is very hot at the moment. We’re also developing new and innovative concepts revolving around videomarketing and we keep investing in the latest equipment. 7. One contact
As a client you always have me as a contact. One person, to prevent any confusion or miscommunication. I’m the connection who translates the clients wishes and desires through to the technical professionals. This also applies the other way around. Clear communication, that’s what I like. I’ll take care of the process from A to Z. This way the client won’t have to worry and always knows what is happening.
8. Target user group
While making a film the viewer is the most important thing to think about. It doesn’t make any sense to create a beautiful looking film the targeted user group can’t relate to. Before we can go to work or give you any good advice we have to take a closer look at your user group. Things like the right music, look and feel, the voice-over, the actors and even the speed of the film play a big part in this.
9. A Marketing & commercial thinking
As a mediatrainer, entrepreneur and marketeer I like to keep track of the latest developments in the field of videomarketing and social media. I don’t stop at manufacturing a film. What’s the market up to at this time? What’s hot at the moment? Which feeds are the best to showcase a particular film? What to do above all and what not to do (anymore)? These are all questions I ask myself on a daily basis.
When making appointments we are very flexible and not bound to our location in Amsterdam or Arnhem. It’s also possible to meet and talk on a location of your own choice or for example through Skype.

New corporate identity
In celebration of our 5 year anniversary we chose for a new appearance. This includes a new logo, new slogan and a new way of writing our company name.
The logo consists of a big M and a B (on your lefthand side) of the name ‘MADE BY MEDIA’. It is transparant and solid like a rock. The color orange in the logo stands for: fun, cheerfulness, friendliness, openness and creativity. These features are very characteristic of the way MADE BY MEDIA wants to profile itself.
The slogan “Creators of image” can be interpreted in two ways:
- We help you with establishing your image
- We create images by making film
When Made by MEdia started out it was mainly about the ME, with the emphasis on one point of contact and videoworkshops where students could proudly say they made something. Because we grew and still are growing the emphasis changed from ME to WE. The people we work with are all TV- and mediaprofessionals.That’s why it’s written MADE BY MEDIA.
Since January 2013, MADE BY MEDIA is an ‘approved apprenticeship’ (SBB) for trainees of all educations in the Netherlands from MBO level 3/4 and higher.
With years of experience in business media, training in the areas of television, management, marketing & communications and experience as a recognised trainer/workshop leader (CRKBO) I get joy from passing on my knowledge. Every half year I have multiple interns doing their internship here at MADE BY MEDIA and I give workshops on schools on a regular basis.
I’m also VCA (basis) certified which means I’m allowed to film at all kind of different construction sites
